TPI Countdown

The TPI Countdown indicator for NinjaTrader 8 is the essential chart utility every serious trader needs. Whether you trade on time-based charts, tick charts, range bars, Renko, or even volumetric bars, TPI Countdown gives you a precise, real-time countdown to the current bar's close — so you always know exactly when a signal will lock in, when to prepare your entry, or when to manage your position.

For time-based intraday charts, TPI Countdown calculates the remaining seconds and minutes until the current bar closes, updating every second with a dedicated high-performance DispatcherTimer. For tick charts, it counts the remaining ticks needed to complete the bar. For range bars and custom bar types, it tracks how many ticks of range remain before the bar closes. This multi-bar-type support is unique — most countdown tools only handle time bars. TPI Countdown handles them all.

The indicator features a sleek glassmorphism dashboard overlay positioned at the bottom-right of your chart, displaying the countdown in large, easy-to-read typography. The countdown font size is fully adjustable so you can set it for quick readability at any screen distance. You can also enable the Show On Bar option to display the countdown directly next to the current price bar, keeping your eyes on the action without glancing at a separate panel.

When the countdown drops below your configurable alert threshold, the countdown text changes color to draw immediate attention, and an optional sound alert fires to notify you audibly. This is especially valuable for traders who watch multiple charts simultaneously or step away briefly during slow periods. You set the threshold in seconds for time bars or in ticks for tick and range bars.

The visual design follows the TPI 2026 glassmorphism standard — frosted-glass panels with subtle borders, smooth rounded corners, and modern typography. The dashboard includes a blinking help button that opens an overlay panel explaining how to use the indicator, making TPI Countdown beginner-friendly. Even a trader with no prior NinjaTrader 8 indicator experience can understand and configure it within minutes.

TPI Countdown is compatible with all NinjaTrader 8 chart types including standard time-based (1 min, 5 min, 15 min, daily), tick bars, range bars, Renko, Heiken Ashi, volumetric, and custom bar types such as TPI Pro and TPI Pro Range.
